I went to FAQ’s and ‘searched’ : join; subscribe; price and variations thereof to no results. Just saying.
Works for me. “Join” and “subscribe” bring up multiple references in the FAQ.
However, are you looking for info on subscribing to SDMB or subscribing to a thread? Joining SDMB or joining a discussion?
You might try going to your User Control Panel and looking for “subscriptions.”
Since cynyc mentioned searching on ‘price’ I presume that he or she meant subscribing to the board, not threads.
Twice this week, I tried renewing my paid subscription as a member of the board and the first Paypal screen gave an error.
Must be something unique to your account. I just re-upped and it worked perfectly.
I think he’s just suggesting putting the price in the FAQ as well.
He may also have encountered the weird set of FAQs that seems to be entirely about vBulletin and not this website.
Perhaps I need help then. Here is the process:

What should I do?
Any Mod-type folks, please note that in past years I have succeeded at this process but that I don’t actually use a Paypal account. In those years, once I reached the next page, I had the opportunity to use a credit card.
With all the helpful detail you have provided, the mods should be able to assist. One should be along any minute…dum, de, dum…here comes one now!
Hi, let me see if we can figure out what’s going on and get back to you. Sorry for your inconvenience.
I did just try the portal and it seems to be operational now – it took me right to the order summary page where you sign in to make the actual payment.
Please try again and see if this doesn’t work for you. FTR, this was using Chrome/Windows 7.
Sorry for the delay, I haven’t been on since this morning.
Nothing is different. I get a Paypal error screen.
I am on Firefox on an iMac.
I will try Chrome in a moment.
On Chrome, there was no problem and I have renewed my subscription. If you’d like Firefox details, I can log on over there again and provide them.
