Getting rid of printer feed lines on my photos

I have two printers, both HP. One is a PhotoSmart 1215, the other is one of those 4-in-one printers.

When I print photos to glossy material, such as greeting card stock, I’m seeing dents (or marks) in the product from the feed mechanism, where the traction wheels grab the paper.

Is there any way to adjust these to eliminate the marks, or should I look for a different brand printer?

If you can get to the rollers, try cleaning them with alcohol and a cotton swab–it may just be dirt or ink residue. If not, I’m afraid you’re probably stuck unless you change printers.

It doesn’t seem to be ink, but rather actual scoring of the paper. I could be mistaken.
