Done. You also get to pick an office if you like; if not, I’ll pick one for you. Same goes for you, too, Lou, so do choose soon!

Nope. Unfortunately, each player has to be invited individually, I think. I could post a link, but I think that would allow everybody and anybody to fill the chat portion with spam, and we don’t want that. I have posted a couple images on photobucket already, and will continue to do so as the need arises.

Two-item lists still make me sad. Bye, Opal.
I signed up here in 2004 and haven’t been on much since. Still, I recognise Opalcat’s name and was sad to hear of her passing.
Does Lou know we switched IC threads?
HOw do we get to the point on Roll20 to select equipment? Or is that something you have to specifically set up?
LuteSkywatcher doesn’t post much, but I get the feeling he’s out there watching, and not just the sky.
Roll20 allows me to select ONE map at a time to have the players see. I have a selection loaded up in the background that I can see whenever I want, but y’all are limited to the one single choice. I intend to give you a day or two in real-time, with the Equipment Room, to select your getup in the game before you leave on the next mission.
Louis, you still haven’t chosen an office. If you don’t, I’m gonna assign you the last one on the right, the one closest to your motorcycle, where the ex-telephones once were.
There was something else I wanted to say about equipment but my mind’s gone blank. Oh well, maybe I’ll think of it later.
Of course, the minute I post I think of it: The EctoMobile (you can choose a better name than that; Ecto-1 is already taken. So is Ecto-2 actually (it’s a little helicopter thing from the cartoons!). If you care, nominate something.
The EctoMobile can hold four Proton Packs and, let’s say, 10 other pieces of equipment of your choice, standard layout is a variety of gear chosen by me more or less at random.
Quick note:
While setting up the equipment page, I noticed that the character icons’ colored circles needed to be reset to match those on the other map. These circles are “Auras” and I have them activated to make your icons easier to see, and easier to tell apart. You probably noticed them in the earlier game.
Why are they those colors, you may ask?
Well… Roll20, as far as I can tell, randomly assigns each player a color, to use when drawing on the map and possibly some other things, I’m not sure yet.
When you sign in, you’ll see a tiny little square of color near your player icon in the bottom left corner; this is the one with your sign-in name and where your videoconferencing would take place, if you hooked it up. If you click on this, you have the option to change your default color, and I’m pretty sure the change is permanent. (Until you change it again I mean.)
I think I have set things up now, to where you can change the “AURA 1” by clicking on your icon, then going in and modifying it.
I like lime green for myself, so that color is taken.
If you are happy with your color, do nothing.
If you would like to change your color, please do so, and (unless I set things up wrong) make sure that your Aura1 color matches your default color. Avoid obvious problem colors like white and black, please!
In addition, if anyone would like to change their icon, they’re free to do so. Probably the easiest way to do this is to find a link somewhere, from which I can steal the image. You could also send me a picture, if you like. PM me for my email address. I’ll turn whatever picture you send me into an icon you can use from then on. Keep in mind they’re small, so fine detail may be lost if the picture is too complex; some resizing is possible, however, so don’t worry too much. Try to find something that represents your character!
We were out with a friend yesterday so I didn’t have much time for the game.
Fine with him!
Lou’s motorcycle is basically this without the windshield.
I took a very manly purple.
Do we need to get the client to sign a damage waiver?
Bump
Are we still using this thread?
If Gerald and Kris talk to the other tenants while Lou and I are back at the lab, should I leave them the PKE meter? I can take Kris’s walkie talkie in exchange? or something else?
I’d like us (or some of us) to intervie the other tenants before 8:00
Kris doesn’t have a walkie talkie, but he’ll give you the book he has in trade for the PKE meter.
On the off chance you missed it:
Just wondering, what are everyone’s physical descriptions? I know I didn’t really give one either, but since my character hasn’t met anyone, I wanted to be able to describe them in my posts until she learns their names.
Copied from wherever it was I originally posted this:
Born and raised in a suburb of Dallas, Texas, John Thomas (J.T.) Roth was mercilessly teased for being fat as a child. His weight still bothers him, despite the fact that he was easily six feet tall by seventh grade, and reached his full height of 6’9" before most of those who were teasing him got their first chest hair. Today, he easily weighs in at 350 pounds, but now the vast majority of that is bone and muscle. And a bit of a beer belly, true, but very few people tease him about it!
Once they get past his size, the first thing most people notice about J.T. is that he’s (usually) wearing an artificial left leg; the organic part ends at his knee, beyond that is a curious contraption of metal and rubber. Anyone who’s been to the movies lately will notice a resemblance to the mechanics of a certain unstoppable robot which featured quite prominently in one. J.T. made this himself, modeled on the one in the movie, to replace the one he lost in a freak car accident a few years ago. On the whole, he doesn’t mind it too much… it’s better than a wheelchair, but it does severely limit his activity.
Also unusual is the fact that, despite his size, J.T. Roth isn’t your typical big burly idiot. His hands are unusually small for his size (something else it’s not polite to mention in his presence!) and have incredible dexterity. This, and his powerful and well-read mind, have gifted him with unusual talents at maintaining, repairing, and inventing mechanical devices of all sorts, including his artificial leg.
Louis Cornwall stands 6’ 2" and weighs about 230, he has a bit of a paunch due to all that good Cajun cooking. He’s from Ponchatoula, Louisiana - “Strawberry Capital of the World” about halfway between New Orleans and Baton Rouge - but his family roots are in the New Iberia area.
Prior to joining the Ghostbusters, he had been a student at LSU and knocked around the Gulf Coast dirt track circuit. His driving skills apparently came from a motorcycling grandfather.
Kris Senneca never graduated high school, bummed around instead of going to college, and just kind of….didn’t know what to do. He wasn’t the typical 80’s money-grubbing guy; he was only part of the “Me” generation in name only. It wasn’t that he was stupid or lazy. He just couldn’t find anything worth pursuing.
Until he saw the “Ghostbusters” ad in the paper.
Oddly enough, Kris didn’t believe in ghosts. Well, he didn’t disbelieve in them either, but he hadn’t seen any evidence that indicated they were real. Still, the ad said it would pay and even though he wasn’t sure if ghosts exists, there was always the chance and he could help people out.
…but what does he LOOK like?
And, what does SHE look like? q;}
As requested, from the first mission thread:
Brian is a tall, lanky bookish type with slightly greying brown hair and thick glasses. he speaks with a slightly pompous tone, but seems pleasant enough.
Thanks guys! It really does help to visualize everyone.
Liz is around 5’3" and has a slight hour glass figure (42-34-40) at 155 lbs. Even though she doesn’t have an ingenue’s body, she thinks she’s fairly attractive.
She sports the typical 80’s big hair. It’s dark red, very naturally curly and goes down to her mid back. Absolutely unruly, when out on a bust, she pulls it into two messy buns. When working in the lab, moving around, etc, she’ll have it in a loose side pony-tail to keep it out of the way.
She has a heart shaped face covered in freckles, blue-green eyes and a button nose.
She wears average 80’s fashions; off the shoulder shirts, over-sized sweaters, baggy jackets. Doc Marten’s and hi-top sneakers. She also loves fedoras and wayfarer sunglasses. She occasionally wears cat-eye glasses when reading.
Her voice is robust for someone her age and slightly scratchy from smoking.
I think that’s about it.
I was jsut looking at the level 2 map. Did anyone ask why some rooms are blacked out? She isn’t going to let Kris and Gerald scan her bedroom?
Not while she’s getting out of the bath! At least… not obviously.
