Guess Mattel wouldn’t give them the rights to the name.
OK, on the one hand it’s giant robots fighting giant monsters, and on the other hand, it’s directed by de Torro. I’m not sure whether it’s going to be so-bad-it’s-good, or just plain good.
No thanks. It just seems way too big to me. Monsters so huge it’s ridiculous, robots so huge they can’t move fast enough to be formidable. Trying way too hard to be epic, they went 1500% beyond reality, instead of 150%.
Also, I don’t understand why GlaDOS is in it. This confuses me.
Well, obviously they had to TEST the robots at some point.

Cool to see Ron Perlman and Charlie Hunnam in a movie together. I wonder if their was a recommendation involved?
Because the monsters came from a Portal under the Pacific? 
I could watch that trailer 20 times in a row. Adding GlaDOS was utterly, utterly brilliant.
Charlie from “It’s Always Sunny” is in the movie as well - that’s why del Toro had a cameo appearance this season. Presumably he’ll hose out the mechs after each battle.
