I accepted this little guy from my mailbox and he got moved into my backpack, but I thought he’s supposed to follow me around? How do i get him to do that?
I’m a level 9 Human Alliance Warrior. Am I too low a level to even have this pet?
Thanks

If you have not already summoned him once, click on the thing in your backpack, and he will appear beside you. After the first time, you can call him back anytime by going to your character info panel, click the Pets tab, and then chose him and click summon.
BTW, you can get this pet on all of your characters.
Thanks, I thought I summoned him, but the voice said something like “I can’t do that spell”.
I will do as you suggest and bring him out of my character box.

With the new pet system, the first right click teaches you the pet spell instead of summoning it like it used to. You have to summon it from the pet screen.
I didn’t have time to try before leaving for work (earlier this morning I did get him out of the pet screen though), but has anyone tried to do a screen shot with your toon and the bear? i wanted to send it to a friend.
Thanks

To do a screen shot, you can use:
Ctrl+Z to hide the UI (optional)
and then just “print screen” (the regular key) to get the screenshot.
Ctrl+Z again will recover the UI.
It will be in your WoW folder under “Screenshots”. They used to be a funky format but are jpg now. You may want to use an image manipulation program (obligatory plug for Irfan View) to reduce the image size somewhat so it sends better.
I don’t have a screen shot, but here’s a blog post by someone who did a couple:
Thanks, but I had to “End Task” out of the link. It hung my computer up for a really long time!
Q
I gave you the wrong instructions for hiding the UI: it’s Alt+Z, not ctrl.
