I used to give small stuff, like a nice candle, but now I just bake muffins or cookies for my boss.
I think baked goods and such are always okay, especially if you’re giving them to everybody. That’s not a suckup gift, it’s just a nice thing to do for people.
I’d second it being fine to give a bottle of wine as a hostess gift when invited to somebody’s home - not a Christmas gift.
