Gilligan's Island dislays the 7 Deadly Sins?

Or so I’ve heard.

I’m a big Gilligan fan, SO…

I have my own speculation on it all.

Sloth- The…Professor?! He’s oh so smart- book smart. The real grunt work is being performed by (most of) the others. (Come on, the guy couldn’t even build a simple RAFT.)

Wrath- The Skipper. Beating his “little buddy” brutally with his hat. He is at the mercy of his rage.

Gluttony- Gilligan and those coconut cream pies Mary Anne keeps baking for him…

Lust- Ginger. I think this one is fairly obvious…

Envy- Mary Anne. If you had to hang around a sexy, self-assured, movie-star all the time, hell, room with her, I think you’d feel a bit overshadowed, particularly when she feels compelled to show off that cleavage. (I mean…she did temporarily think she WAS Ginger at one point…)

Pride- Mrs. Howell. I think there’s even one episode where someone accuses her of this. And of course she embodies the notion that she is far too blue blooded to work with the commoners. Notice how she convinces Gilligan to drive the little car around.

Avarice- Mr. Howell. His lust for money is fairly evident to any Gilligan’s island viewer.

So what do you think? Deconstruct if you like. I spent many a night working on this thesis of mine. If you have a new idea, fill me in, or think of more examples to support my idea.

I trust you’ve seen this joke?
