We (El Hubbo and I) and our neighbors (two sisters) want to throw a two-house New Year’s Eve party. We live right next door from each other, in townhouses that are the same floorplan, but flipped. Help me with a cool theme. It needs to be something that would help necessitate the move from one house to the other.
Half-formed ideas thrown around already:
Black and White: One house black, the other white.
Flipped Floorplan, Flipped Party: 1st house, everything’s normal. 2nd house, either turn your clothes around or switch clothes with your significant other.
Masquerade Ball: 1st house, masked. 2nd house, unmasked.
Anything too costume-y is out because I don’t have many friends who would do it and I live in Minnesota. Too much of a pain to wear a costume under a heavy coat and then to change… !
Ooh, I like the Heaven/Hell one too! I vote for that, if for no other reason than to be able to tell people to go to hell and have them leave.
Whatever you choose, you want something easy to go between so that people are free to mingle freely between the parties. Anything too costumey or labor-intensive to switch will result in two separate non-mixing parties.
