A year later, on the other side of the pond, NYC’s Velvet Underground song of the same name.
TLH got the count right @ 5. Speaking of 5, If You’re going to San Francisco, before to sure to whistle Scoot McKenzie’s song “No, No, No, No, No”. <Hi Jack>Speaking of ‘no’ - I never counted, but the Zombies “Tell Her No” has got to repeated at least 200 times in under 3 minutes.</Hi Jack>
On one of his many remakes of the Amos Milburn song, on the Boogie Chillin’ album (I believe) - he ups the ‘Boom’ count to 3. Not to be out done, the Vengaboys did a totally different dance track Boom Boom Boom Boom.
Thanks, I knew there was at least one other “Run Run Run,” but couldn’t think who did it. Similarly, Roxy Music did a song called “Cry Cry Cry” that is not the Johnny Cash song.
There’s also “Kare Kare” by Crowded House, on their album Together Alone. The song takes its name from the beach in KareKare where it was recorded. Does this still count?
