Gin, bitters, tonic, and lime juice: Does this drink have a name?

If not, then I’ve invented…The Gin Mockarita.

Short glass filled with ice

Liberally squirt ice/glass with lemon and lime juice
Add dash of Angostura
Simultaneously pour in 1 1/2 oz chilled gin + enough tonic water to fill glass

I mixed this out of idle curiosity the other day and was suprised how much it tasted like a margarita on the rocks.

Bah, call it the Bitter Gimletonic.

I’d call it “Gin and tonic with a dash of bitters”.

Spectre, you are 'tending to a tough crowd. Sounds good, BTW.

Add Cointreau and you have a Pegu.

Skip the gin and you have a Yellow Bellied Sap Sucker.

Well, it’s pretty close to a Gin Rickey.

I’d vote for Pink Gin and Tonic.

If the Gin was Vodka and the Tonic was Lemonade it’d be a Long Vodka.
So it could be a Long Gin?

BTW I tried this the next day substituting soda for the tonic, and it was so bad I threw it down the drain. Fascinating what a difference a non-alcoholic ingredient in a small amount can make.
