Give me Your Drug Slangs

Alright guys, here’s the story. I’ve been finishing up a book on drug slangs recently and I have well over 3000 now. These are 3000 of the most common and rare drug slangs there are and it’s taken alot of research. Now that I’ve been finishing this book up I would like to milk this cow to the very last drop. If any of you dopers out there have any locally or regionally known drug slangs that you think I might not know about please write them down. Plus I’m not interested in slangs that you and your buddy made up one day, I’m looking for ones actually used. Don’t be shy to post any.

Thanks ahead of time.

Well I hate to see your post fall off the board unanswered so I’ll bump you and reccommend this website for ya

BUMP

While I’d be surprised if you didn’t list all the ones mentioned, theres a chance. Hopefully bringing it back to the top will make people less shy.

The only one I can offer:

Advil: “hangover helper”
Tripler
I know, I’m not much of a help myself.

Puff the magic dragon

How about some from latino environments:

Tachas = Extasy
Rayas = cocaine (rayas=lines)
Grapas = Cocaine (grapa=staple,as in the one closing a gram of coke)

Well so far it turns out I didn’t have Rayas and Hangover Helper. That surprised me so like I said don’t be shy to post. 3000 may sound intimidating but some slangs don’t travel very well and I would love to include them in my book. And if I get a couple more I’ll add the Straight Dope as a reference.

Let’s keep 'em coming guys.

Hmmm… I’ll ask around and see if we can come up with something else…

Perejil= pot (perejil=parsely) I’ve only heard this one once, so it might not be trustworthy.

“Putting a hat on” = smoking some pot, as in “Who wants do go put on a hat,” or “Are you wearing a hat right now?”

“Pillow” = 1/4 pound of pot. Not sure how wide-spread this one is; a friend may have made it up.

I’d post more, but I seem to have a memory problem…

Oh, right, I also used to do cocaine, coke, blow, snow, powder, power powder, snort, bumps, lines, and look around for something to get this itch out of my nose. I don’t do it anymore, though.

Hooter=pot or a joint
Driving to Hooterville=going somewhere to smoke.
Buttered, toasted, zowed, blittered=intoxicated.

When you say intoxicated, do you mean drunk or do you mean high?

acidified is what I am right now.

[sub]no… really[/sub]

Every now and again round here I’ve heard people say ‘let’s go do some gardening’ for ‘let’s go smoke some pot’. The same people also tend to refer to the actual pot as ‘foliage’.

I’ve heard amatuer growers refer to pot plants growing on the windowsill call their plants “my girls”.

“Pills” is a common reference to ecstasy (MDMA). “Party favours” is another one.

kif = hashish
funny papers = rolling papers
fukengruven = tripping
I’ve heard “bong” as a sort of synonyn: “I smoked a couple bongs last night.”
shroomies, fungi,
Do names for batches of acid count? I’ve heard of
Quinn the Eskimo
Deathstar
Vermont

Also, can you yell me the term for taking acid and exstacy at the same time?

candy trippin…

Straight from the Haight-Ashbury I’ve had:

Purple Demons
Magic Fun Spots
Spinners

My friends and I used to refer to acid trips as “vacation time”.

Relative slang: Going to visit…

Aunt Mary (marijuana), Uncle Albert or Uncle Sid (acid), Uncle Elmer or Uncle Xavier (ecstacy), my cousin Clark (cocaine). I’m sure there are others… it’s all intuitive.

Oh, and this is entirely organic to my circle of friends, but doing ecstacy is known as “wearing the green sweater.” This was after an attempt to create a clothing slang, and it was the only one to survive for general usage.

It’s actually Candy Flipping

I don’t know if this fits here, I’m gonna throw it atcha anyway…
When I was married to my ex-hubby, and was acting silly or wierd, he would say “I think you need some of that cough syrup that ties in the back!” (straightjacket)

My bad. I knew that. but, I was trippin’ then…
