In the movie Gladiator, what path does Russel Crowe take from Spain to where he originally became a glaidator back to Rome? Was the place that he originally was a gladiator supposed to be Northern Africa, and if so did they cross the Med. Sea then?
If I recall, it was North Africa.
I saw the movie again yesterday on the plane home from Sweden, and it’s fairly obvious that the slave/gladiator training area that Oliver Reed’s character ran was in north Africa. I believe that Maximus was captured in Spain, and then taken across the Mediterranean to the southern Empire via boat, probaby at Gibraltar.
