Glee returns tonight!

A plotline I’d figured they’d make for Kurt was his single father hooking up with Finn’s single mom which makes him end up living in the same house as the object of his lust. Apparently not.

Personally I think it’s enough they’ve established Kurt’s gay (like it was a secret)- they don’t really need to hammer it home in the plot. I’m not saying that a boyfriend alone would do that, but they don’t need to make the gayness itself a cast member since that’s a bit insulting to gay teenagers (i.e. they’re not just their sexual orientation).

Agree they need to beef up Artie. I wish they could get him out of the wheelchair but somehow do it realistically. The choreographer of the show said the irony is he’s the best dancer in the cast.

Some of the characters I don’t even recognize the names of- there’s the Asian guy and the other black girl for instance who are basically Asian guy and other black girl. I’m sure they have names but they’ve never been brought out of the chorus.

No, it was when pregnant girl was complaining about being pregnant and Puck said “Like that’s MY fault?!”

Hmm. I thought the Sarah Palin line was pretty cheap (and I say that as someone who utterly loathes Palin). And Sue’s rape of the principal with roofies was way too creepy to me for it to be played for blithe laughs. This episode just didn’t do it for me, except for the gay sharks bit.

I think it was pretty clear (because Sue was still completely dressed) that no sex was actually had. She did unclothe him, which was creepy, in order to blackmail him but I don’t think she touched him otherwise.

Nitpick:

Actually, it went like this… Santana and Brittany are walking in the hallway, on their cellphones in a five-way party-call with the other kids. One of the other kids asks Santana if she’s dating Puck.

Santana replies, “Sex is not dating.”
Brittany blurts out “If it were, Santana and I would be dating.”

(everyone goes quiet and looks confused for a second, and the musical score skips a beat. Then the conversation resumes)

Oh, I missed that. Okay, far less creepy, and back in the realm of funny. Thanks!

When Will and Emma have their last scene in her office there are two pamphlets on the table behind Will.

“Ouch, that stings!”
and
“Me and my Cancer”

hee hee.

Brittany has a perfect vapid look to her that cracks me up everytime she’s onscreen. That actress is brilliant in this role.

And her whispery vapid Marilyn Monroe voice. So perfectly acted. (I hope it’s acting!)

What songs did Idina sing? I didn’t watch this eppy thou I should have, seeing I LOVED her in Rent and Wicked.

She hasn’t sung yet.

I have a feeling it’s only a matter of time. She’s going to be around for a few more episodes, I’m sure and I hope they’ll get her to sing.

I love that so many stage actors are getting some cred on this show. I love it.
