yeast overgrowth/candida is most often a nonsense alt.med. diagnosis. Especially when diagnosed through “intuition”. That said, welcome to the Straight Dope. The discussion you’ve entered is old, and no one seem to have cared about the couple of previous resurrections, so don’t expect any replies to your question.
IANAD but I’m of the opinion that a yeast infection inside the eyeball seems like it would be a pretty damn serious thing.
Do you have green eyes, by any chance? - EDIT - Argh, did not realize this was a zombie thread.
Cataracts usually develop in one eye earlier than the other, so there is a simple self-diagnostic test. Look at a blank wall or surface of light tan color, alternately, with each eye. If the color is noticeably different in one eye than the other, that could be an indicator of cataract development.
My eyes also glow in black light. I’ve wondered if it’s because I have neurological Lyme disease. Have you found out anything else about this?
And btw I also have green eyes … although I’m not sure why that’s was asked - ??
Idk why and no one can answer me but when I stand underneath a blacklight my eyes glow neon green on neon green eyes or people would think my eyes where light violet underneath a blacklight. So I get 2 responses.i found that t depends on my mood. I don’t have green eyes. I’m actually a dark skinned Latina with dark brown eyes that happen to glow underneath those lights. I do wish to find out why this is the case.
Hi there re florescent green glowing within the pupil under black light or UV flashlight. Human pupils should not fluoresce green under UV light. I understand that this is some kind of an eye implant. The government & military does experiment on a certain percentage of the population. I have this also. Its not the whole pupil but circular green glowing within part of the pupil. Its creepy & I didn’t consent to being altered or experimented upon. You guys might want to look deeper into this.

[QUOTE=oliver777; I as well, have this glowing of my eyes. I am 34, and am healthy. No diabetes or cataracts (just had an eye exam for new glasses) and no contacts. I don’t know its genetic, because my two children don’t have it.[/QUOTE]

Do you have a negative blood type?
I have blond hair and green eyes. My pupils glow in blacklight as well. I had no idea that they did until I was told that mine were the only ones glowing out of the 40-50 people in our vicinity.
I have glowing pupils under a black light also.
Some guy told me I have cat eyes and I didnt know what he was talking about. Then a few weeks later I was at a nightclub and my girlfriend pointed it out and then took a photo of it. I was the only person in the nightclub that had glowing pupils.
Maybe its leftover caveman genetics. Lol
So now we know that several posters on this Board are cats.
On the Internet, nobody knows you’re a cat.
(Unless you out yourself.)
IANAD but as I understand it the pupil is a hole. Which can’t glow. So it was either the lens or something behind it reflecting back out through the pupil. (Red eye in photos is from light reflecting off the blood vessels in the tissue behind the retina.)
You should probably get your eyes checked. As was already mentioned upthread, that might be an indication of cataracts, diabetes, or some other health issue.
Almost certainly the lens, I would think.
Hey, searching this topic and came across this thread…did you ever find out the cause? I have the same, we must be the same species
I don’t know if this is exactly what you are describing but some might find this interesting, as far as eye fluorescing under a black light…. https://www.lsop.colostate.edu/wp-content/uploads/sites/6/2021/07/eyelensfluorescence.pdf
