Go back into the cardboard tube you crawled out of, Starving Artist.

I’d like for you to demonstrate that I have a track record of misrepresentation, or you can go fuck Starving’s cardboard tube.

Yes, that’s essentially what I am saying. The more objective the assertion, the truer the statement is, in fact.

Your poor track record is based on launching attacks against conservative targets, not simply misrepresentation.

I trust I do not need to demonstrate that tendency of yours.

So, I have a “poor” track record of attacking conservatives? I admit that I often attack conservatives. But that’s not what you accused me of. You said:

You weaselly fuck.

You’re much too kind. Bricker is a man who has learned to use the English language in order to hamper communication. He employs it as an obstacle to understanding and a blockade against comprehension. He is a dictionary lawyer, and a master of arguing from “Definition 2.” One remembers Rush Limbaugh defending “discrimination” on very much the same basis.

From another thread entirely, however, I do feel I must speak well of the man’s tastes in music.

“Weaselly” does not equal “imprecise.”

Your track record of attacking conservatives means that on any given Sunday, you are willing to assume the worst without fact-checking. It is that symptom which I incorrectly assumed was in play.

There does seem to be a pattern. I could sort of dismiss the Paterno thread as just a blind spot. There are plenty of Penn State fans with that blind spot. But it looks like its the entire subject matter not just JoPa.

Well if that ain’t the pot calling the kettle a nigger.

That may be how you operate. I take a very empirical approach. I do fact check most things relevant to the posts I write here. Where I don’t, I make clear that this is my opinion.

In the matter at hand, you are (or were) accusing me of having described SAs writings in a manner not consistent with what he actually wrote. I have no track record of doing any such thing. Your behavior here is deceitful and spineless. I regret praising your integrity just a few posts back. In actuality, your integrity appears quite variable and situational, which is of course inconsistent with the very concept of integrity.

It’s a kettle board, so pots don’t get a fair hearing. If they got a fair hearing, pretty soon it would be a pot board, but kettles would still get a fair hearing, because pots are like that, all reasonable and fair, and stuff.

…and another meme is born. By next election all the pundits will be referring to “Pot States” and “Kettle States”. Er, Colorado and Washington definitely included in the former.

Do Ma and Pa Kettle represent kettle states?

Guy I know once described to me his childhood experience at a summer camp, in which he somehow fell into the “nerd” role.

He said every time someone was beaten up or otherwise humiliated and felt down, they would go seek him out and beat him up so as to feel better about themselves and restore a bit of their lost swagger.

Did they make him take showers with the adult counselors and then tell him it was all his own fault for not being born in the '50s when these sort of things never happened? Or if they did, it was all in innocent fun?

Or did he grow up to be a hysterical crackpot who must rely upon distortions, items plucked out of context and presented dishonestly, and/or outright lies in order to contend with perfectly obvious truths he didn’t like having to face, as have the majority of posters in this thread…OP included?

I wonder if my post was just a bit more opaque than I intended …

I was wondering that even as I read it.

No, I’m sorry, Hentor, but what you say isn’t the whole truth.

You endorse, either implicitly or explicitly, posts you agree with, and you subject posts you don’t agree with to rigorous examination.

You have two sieves, two standards: one for conservatives and one for liberals. I’m sorry this upsets you, but it’s the naked truth.

So, no response to post #166, then?

I’ve been busy the last few days and have had no contact with Bricker to see what he has to say via PM, nor to discuss the subject with him further from my point of view. I’ll respond openly at the time I feel appropriate.
