If he goes to OSU it would probably be for medicine. I hear they have several hospitals and the the school is involved with research into his type of cancer, which is a draw if he wants to do some kind of internal medicine.
How about Vanderbilt? Great academic school with a med school.

Bumping this one because my brother made his decision last week. He’ll be enrolling at the U of Florida in August. UF was one of his favorites from the beginning and he loved it when he visited last month. What made his decision, I think, was the fact a researcher at Florida is working on his type of cancer, and he could start helping out in the lab as soon as he gets there. He is not positive he wants to become a researcher, but he’d get to explore it right away instead of waiting a few years and competing for a spot.
Just did a search to try to find an update on your brother, Marley23. I am delighted to hear that he’s doing so well.
