How do you do that?
I’ve copied and pasted a URL to use as a cite in a posting, and naturally the entire web page address is in my post, and it is clickable so the reader can get to the site. How do you Dopers hide the URL under another word? How you do dat?:confused:

Replace curly brackets with square brackets.

You can find out more info on vB code here

Also, if you want to see how someone else coded something, you can click on the “quote” button just below that post.

You can also hit the quote button on any post in it with code that you want to see how it was done in it. It will show you how it was done.

Damn…my bad Colibri. I have to read closer.

Since this is a question about this message board, I’ll move this thread to ATMB.

You can also embed links inside smilies, like so…

:slight_smile:
:frowning:
:o
:smiley:
:wink:
:stuck_out_tongue:
:cool:
:rolleyes::mad:
:eek::confused:
;j
:wally
:smack::dubious:

Just replace the link words with a smiley… easy, don’t you think? :smiley:

Oh, and I’m just taking each smiley in the order it appears in the list… they don’t reflect the feeling I have about each individual site listed.

Darn, I’d meant to have them all in a column. Guess my brain’s not working, tonight.
