Go, Ramseys, go!!

By the time I got to this…

…I forgot what news agency was being pitted.

Aren’t the Ramseys opening themselves up to the taint of further examination of this case in a court of law?

After all, though the prosecutors and judge say the evidence is more consistent with the theory of an intruder, there’s still nothing that rules out a member of the family, right?

They must feel pretty confident of a big payday, otherwise I don’t understand why they would put themselves back in the papers.

There’s also nothing that rules out a family member being the “intruder”.

After all, who would be best able to enter the Ramsey’s house after dark, go upstairs, take the kid, get her to that hidden room in the basement, kill her, and not wake up the Ramsey family? How would an intruder know about the hidden room to find it so quickly? After all, wasn’t the reason it took so long to find JonBenet’s body that it was in that ‘hidden room’ in the basement?

Actually, there IS evidence of an intruder.

What further examination is possible? They’ve been investigated up the whazoo as it is. There’s nothing there.

I always found this “hidden room” thing a little specious. I’m pretty sure I could find a secluded spot in a big house if I was really looking for one.

Yes, but could you do it at night while people are sleeping in the house while dragging around a struggling six year old without waking anyone up?

Sure, if she was dead.

Nope, no evidence of an intruder. Just evidence that there “might” have been an intruder. Same kind of “evidence” that could/would be found at your house or mine.

evidence -

  1. provide evidence for; stand as proof of;

(wishing don’t make it so)

DNA on the body that doesn’t belong to either of the parents is pretty solid evidence of an intruder.

I really think the Ramsey’s should just go away. Whether they did it or not, the majority of public opinion is that they did it. They should just slink back into obscurity and be thankful they’re not in prison.

But hey, at least they aren’t promising to use the money they’re going to win from the FNC (and they will win) to find the true killer.

I DARE YOU TO CLICK THIS!

MUHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Their clearly slanted reporting of the Iranian earthquake makes my blood boil! But seriously, folks, there is not much to see there most of the time.

BTW, this lawsuit is iffy.

Or that she was licked by a puppy dog.

Let’s be fair, Brutus, there is a difference between expressing an opinion, as Dio did and reporting something unsubstantiated as fact, as Fox did. At least the trial, if there is one, may establish that they did. More likely Fox will settle for an “undisclosed” amount and put the whole thing to rest.

What follows is just an opinion, not reportage. I’ve suspected from early on that JonBenet was murdered by her brother, and that the Ramseys have been protecting him. It has never been explained to my satisfaction how an intruder got into the Ramsey house without leaving any tracks in the snow. An anti-gravity belt maybe? :dubious:

Again, a nice sentiment. Merry fucking Christmas.

It’s a dead child, folks. Do we need to reduce ourselves to this? Dio, I’m disappointed in you. I know you don’t give a shit, but I’m really, really disappointed in you. Way to pick at a wound. Especially one that involves a dead child.

I thought I was the only one. It’s the only explanation that makes any sense, the only explanation that makes the subsequent actions of all the parties understandable.

Well, if he did it, he cannot be protected because he knows he did it and a person doesn’t ever “deal” with something like that or get over it.

(Unless he’s a sociopath, in which case they would really be making a mistake)

I’m not callous to the fact that a child was murdered, especially since I have a four year old daughter myself.

Part of what bothered me about the media’s finger pointing at the Ramseys was the utter lack of consideration for them as victims and as grieving parents, which as far as we know, is all that they were (and are).

I think that the parents in a case like this should be given the respect and compassion due to the victims of such a sickening crime unless and until it can be substantially shown that they are not victims.

Not to hijack the thread or anything but…Beagle, what exactly about the Fox report of the Iranian earthquake is making your “blood boil”? I’ve been hearing similar reports all day from various other news networks.

As to the OP. I think that it would be great if the authorities could figure out who did it but, at this point, I just don’t see that happening. I can’t believe they’re suing Fox over that little quote when I still see their faces on the cover of the National Enquierer at least every few months with new theories at to how Mom or Dad killed her.
