Nobody “deserves” to be debated. Nobody “deserves” to demand someone else’s time. And nobody here said to kill or attack them, so you are using a straw man, which is an example of the type of dishonest tactics that are often used in debates.
Gobb beats dolphins to death with sex toys. I don’t have cites but shouldn’t need cites for something everyone knows. You can’t call me a liar, you can’t demand proof from me, that’s unacceptable. You need to listen to me, and rebut it. And when I just repeat my previous accusation, you must still listen to me.
So what did those poor dolphins do to you, Gobb? I also heard you started feeding them rat poison and anthrax-riddled sardines from the prow of a yacht. Why do you hate them?
Actually, what you should do is tell people about Gobb’s habit of stripping the skins from live kittens (something I heard from many right-wing sites, btw) while they are busy trying to disprove the original fact.
Maybe Gobb’s got a point. If notorious bleeding heart Bono can be friends with Jesse Helms, maybe we can follow his example. /ducks
Sonny’s alive?
Thank you for spreading more facts! I feel more educated now.
There are no apolitical people watching Fox News.
But we’re supposed to “listen to them?”
'There is a cult of ignorance in the United States, and there has always been. The strain of anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that ‘my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge.’ – Isaac Asimov, Newsweek, 21 January 1980
No one is disagreeing with that.
Y’all are arguing with this guy about why it’s not worth the time to ‘debate’ with republicans, meanwhile he’s doing all those things. It may be time to stop feeding him.
I’ve never even replied to this entity, rather I engage in insults and mockery, which I think is all that is warranted until the eventual banning. I don’t even point my comments directly at this despicable creature, rather I talk about it.
That seems the most productive thing to me.
There is no more Dope-ish pastime than constantly engaging with trolls. See: Gobbs, Pedro, Smapti. “If only we refute them with logic, they’ll come to see we’re right!”
Atamasama has the right of it: mockery is the only thing they deserve.
For the record, I’m right-wing (Reagan right, not the new Andrew Jackson/George Wallace “right”) and I did notice that, somewhere, you said that you were opposed to Trump but that was after I’d already posted here, in this thread.
Apologies for the assumption, I didn’t look deeply through your posts and presumed that the others had classified you correctly.
In general, I’d recommend that you try to stick around. Not to say that the people here are all reasonable and free of any demagoguery, but you can probably find a person or two who are worth arguing with and focus on them. It’s good to practice developing your ideas and opinions, when someone is actually pushing you to support your argument with facts and to vet those facts, not just trust them despite all evidence that it’s bunk
Treat everyone with the respect that their opinions deserve (even when they don’t), and you should be able to enjoy a long and interesting life on here.
Oops. NM me
We have forums that aren’t about politics, you know. Maybe add some value somewhere with sports, a book recommendation, a nice recipe, or something where you’re not so obviously wrong all the time.
There’s a huge difference between Fox affiliates and Fox News.
Local Fox affiliates are not Fox News Channel.
The point is that effectively 100% of the people who are choosing to watch Fox News Channel (or Newsmax, etc.) are MAGA conservatives, who are tuning in to hear and see biased news coverage and opinion which reinforces what they already believe.
Such people don’t watch the mainstream news, and have been taught that they should not trust the mainstream news.
