God Bless The DDR -- Or, Huerta Gives Thanks For His Warsaw Pact Trousers

As MPSIMS goes, this is that.

It’s cold cold cold where I am. Making me grateful for the $19.99 I paid about eight years ago for my seemingly-indescructable pre-Berlin-Wall surplus East German Border Guard wool pants. Man, are they warm (man, are they scratchy). Never would I have thought 25 year old commie pants would be so dear to me. Color coordinating the OD is someone else’s job, I’d suppose.

Sturdy and fit well, too.

I have a Red Army greatcoat for much the same reason. It’s certainly not the most stylish model around, but nothing keeps you warmer in -30 degrees and windchill.

I guess playing Dance Dance Revolution would keep you warm.
