Rasa, just a suggestion, but climb up and SHUT THE VENT!! 
Get a chair and someone to steady it for you. If you can’t do that, call your manager and have him/her do it. If that doesn’t help, call maintenance and yell at them.
There’s no need for you to sit there and work under miserable conditions.

Actually, the vent has stopped its icy emanations. So now it’s just residual cold. 45 more minutes then I’m going home and throwing on my warmest, toastiest clothing.

You do know that the best way to keep warm and avoid hypothermia is getting naked with another person and wrap up in blankets and such.
