God damned electronics

This was a bad weekend at Casa Yax. On Friday I get home from work and go to fire up the ol’ PC and nothing happens. All the fans start spinning but the machine won’t even start to POST. Not a huge deal, I was planning to build a new machine soon anyways, but it would be nice to have something running while I wait for the new components.

Yesterday, the Dish Network PVR in my bedroom decides that it would be a good time for the hard drive to fail. Again, not a big deal as I don’t watch too much TV in bed. I am more upset about losing a whole lot of Justice League episodes that may or may not ever get released on DVD.

This morning I get up and go to turn on a small space heater in my bathroom and it no longer works either. Now it is just a fan. I can find a use for it, at the very least Goliath will like it as a fan since it is starting to warm up here.

I haven’t even been in my new house for 2 weeks yet and I have to deal with replacing a lot of stuff. Maybe the copper that is running through my house was mined from an old Indian burial ground or something. I just hope my TVs survive the onslaught.

The Revolution™ has begun!

maybe some kind of power surge? sorry about the bad luck. hay, read a book

Sounds like trouble to me.

Well, the Sentinels were coming and Zion had to do something.

Where are the X-Men when you really need 'em?

Sounds like a bad movie.
Get out while there’s still time!

Seriously, when you turn on lights/ electric oven (if you have one), do your lights dim or brighten? A few years back we had an open-common that caused us much, much grief. We initially assumed our microwave was possessed due to it’s late-night beeping, but eventually I noticed the common wire burned in two at the power pole.

Gas oven. However, there is not any noticable dimmin when lights are turned on. I did, however, put dimmer switches on many light switches.

Also, this house is new- not just new to me. It was completed in October.
