Goddammit Google am not in Tunisia!

I left Sfax about a week ago because the company evacuated us due to the ongoing situation.

Am now back in Manila but every time I try a Google search I end up on www.google.tn! Its not a huge problem because I get the option to change to google in English, but its stupid and frustrating. Having my search results displayed reading right to left and with arabic script is doing my head in!

How can I get it back to normal philippine or english?

Are you signed in? If so, you probably have a “Change Location” link down the left nav. Try that!

Thanks! Sorted!

I just began using Google Documents. I’m in Japan but haveve been using a Gmail address with English(US) settings. I naturally just clicked on the Documents link on top of the Gmail page. The Documents page was in English and the spreadsheet document I made was saved in English. An hour later, I logged into Google Docs again and while the spreadsheet was in English, everything else on the page was in Russian. Doh!

I have found in my experience Google is usually right. I would bet dollars-to-donuts you’re still in Tunisia.

I haven’t left Sydney but suddenly (around a week ago) Google ads all seem to think I’m in Hong Kong. It’s not my location in Google or Firefox. I’ve seen some articles that claim Google is basing it on my IP address, but why they would think that has suddenly changed to HK I don’t know.

Somehow this happened any time I type in craigslist I get craiglsist indonesia, very annoying too.
