Gods sabbath day SAVED!

C.S. Lewis said something similar in Mere Christianity;
“Either this man was, and is, the Son of God: or else a madman or something worse. You can shut Him up for a fool, you can spit at Him and kill Him as a demon; or you can fall at His feet and call Him Lord and God. But let us not come with any patronizing nonsense about His being a great human teacher. He has not left that open to us. He did not intend to.”

Looking back over the writings in the New Testament you can see that it appears to be preaching that the world is coming to an imminent end, so don’t worry too much about the temporal. For example;
“31So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. 33But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. 34Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.” - Matthew 6

Then there’s pretty much the whole book of Revelation. Again, not moral stuff - it speaks against trying to make this world a better place for our children, don’t worry about tomorrow, or where your food or clothing comes from. Then again. 1 Timothy 5:8 says that you should provide for your family or you are ‘denying the faith’. This is exactly what I would expect if it were man-made, built around the teachings of some form of eccentric preacher who lived in Judea (who nevertheless didn’t deserve a painful death).
