Going off topic-boooooo!

Conversations naturally take twists and turns and on message boards it is not the
exception. But there is a fine line between going from blue to green and going
from WHITE to BLACK.

I don't see small hijacks and posts mildly deviating from the OT as a problem.
Hypothetical-but if the thread is about relationships and someone suddenly posts
about cars and the thread goes on about cars several pages long, that is just
disrespectful-to the original thread starter and the people who want to discuss
                     the original topic.
  1. Do you have an example? Perhaps a link to a thread in question?

  2. If stuff goes seriously off-topic, and it’s a problem, you can always contact the mods and get their take on it.

Perfect example.

Just then, Alice noticed a small thread, with the words “HIJACK ME” beatifully printed on it in large letters.

Does anyone else like cheese? I do. What is your favourite cheese?

My favourites are the soft cheeses. Brie and Camembert are good, but the best are the soft blue cheeses like Gorgonzola and Danish Blue.

Chedder and Edam. Yeh, I know, I’m boring

What a friend we have in cheeses…

A friend in cheese…
is a tasty friend indeed

This reminds me of a friend of mine who lives in Wisconsin. He likes bass fishing. He just bought a new bass boat with a Minn Kota® Maxxum 74 Trolling Motor. Cool!

My favorite cheese is the one I get for free with wine at parties and friends’ homes.

Yeah, I’m cheap. So what?

I must really say that was beautiful.

But getting back to the OP on colors, I don’t much care for white or green. Blue is okay, but I like black better, Red is my favorite color.

I prefer a good extra-sharp Vermont Cheddar myself.

Everything you ever wanted to know about Canadian cheese.

My cat’s posts smell like stupid Simpsons hijacks

I’m sick of you liberals always talking about cheese! Eating cheese is a privilege not a right! Damn commie pinko liberals!

What is the difference between American Cheese slices and the American Cheese you can get at the deli?

I wear the cheese, the cheese does not wear me.

Say, themis, do you type your posts up in a text editor, then copy and paste them? Is that why your text lines are shorter than everybody elses, or do you hit the enter key at the end of every line, like you were using a manual typewriter?

Just curious.

OMG God, featherlou is the Cheese…er, Woman!

I like extra sharp Tillamook cheddar. It doesn’t have animal rennet, which is good for my vegetarian sensibilities. But the sharper you get, the more expensive, so I usually buy sharp Tillamook, which is a dollar cheaper than extra sharp.

Also very fond of brie on nice sourdough.
