Conversations naturally take twists and turns and on message boards it is not the
exception. But there is a fine line between going from blue to green and going
from WHITE to BLACK.
I don't see small hijacks and posts mildly deviating from the OT as a problem.
Hypothetical-but if the thread is about relationships and someone suddenly posts
about cars and the thread goes on about cars several pages long, that is just
disrespectful-to the original thread starter and the people who want to discuss
the original topic.
This reminds me of a friend of mine who lives in Wisconsin. He likes bass fishing. He just bought a new bass boat with a Minn Kota® Maxxum 74 Trolling Motor. Cool!
Say, themis, do you type your posts up in a text editor, then copy and paste them? Is that why your text lines are shorter than everybody elses, or do you hit the enter key at the end of every line, like you were using a manual typewriter?
I like extra sharp Tillamook cheddar. It doesn’t have animal rennet, which is good for my vegetarian sensibilities. But the sharper you get, the more expensive, so I usually buy sharp Tillamook, which is a dollar cheaper than extra sharp.
