My job is sending me to Bermuda for a week and I may even have a chance to do some sight seeing.
Any suggestions? I will also take any restaurant suggestions…?

Take me with you?
Wish I could - the trip would be more fun with a friend
Take a credit card!! It’s the most eyewateringly-expensive place I’ve been, by a long way. This coming from somebody who doesn’t flinch at London prices.
There’s no single great ‘must-see’, IMO, but all of the small museums and historical locations are worth a look. If you get a clear day, the view from Gibbs Hill Lighthouse genuinely is great. A rented scooter and a good map is the best way to explore the vast number of beaches and ocean views, but take care, because the local drivers are NOT safe. (The test to get a licence basically consists of driving around one block.)
When are you travelling? If later in the year, then diving and such will be an option, but don’t expect much to even be open in winter - it’s the Atlantic, not the Caribbean, remember. I’ve not got the local knowledge for restaurants, I’m afraid (although I can ask around if you’ve got specific preferences) - the one thing I can recommend looking for is sushi, because there’s a combination of endless fresh fish with a foreign-worker visa setup which favours chefs with a particular skill that cannot be supplied locally.
Edit: plus, everything you will read about the friendliness of the place is true, 100%.
Visit Kilgore Trout’s birthplace.
Have a rum swizzle at the Swizzle Inn. I can probably get you a free one just by having you drop my uncle’s name to the owner. My uncle was best buddies with the former owner, the current owner’s father. My uncle worked at the NASA tracking station in Bermuda for most of his adult life.
Can’t say I’m a fan of the Swizzle, to be honest - I enjoyed the North Rock rather a lot, though, and the chowder was very good…I seem to remember…
Dirty secret about Bermuda: it’s kind of . . . boring.
Don’t get me wrong. Beaches are beautiful (but that’s out, for now) and the golf is excellent (but not much help if you don’t love golf). After that – well, there’s a reason the locals talk about getting “Rock fever” after awhile.
Hamilton, IME, was a disappointment – a big main street with bars catering to the thousands of cruise ship passengers who are dumped there daily, then some high end (expensive) restaurants for the bankers. (Those are okay, and I second whoever said the sushi’s solid).
St. George is nicer than Hamilton.
Oh, yeah, escape Hamilton ASAP. Especially if there’s a cruise ship in!
Stay left!!
We went to Bermuda in 1991 via a cruise ship. We rented scooters and toodled around the island. You can traverse the whole thing in a few hours. We visited a perfumery, a cave, the lighthouse, and a few beaches.
In January/February it should be nice but fairly cold (it’s the same longitude as South Carolina, I believe), so don’t expect to swim in the ocean.
Stay clear of any space-time anomalies you may see.
