Going under the knife tomorrow

I’m going in to have surgery tomorrow. Apparently, my mis-spent youth has caught up with me, and they are haveing to do a lumbar laminectomy on me. Looking forward to getting rid of the pain I have been putting up with for a decade or so, but the idea of them slicing up my spine scares the hell out of me, as does missing a month of work. If only I had stopped to think when my friends said hey, I bet you cant lift that 350 chevy motor by your self. Obviously, I was too young to think “should I”, rather than “could I”. Stupid Testostherone…

I’m sending you prayers and good positive healing vibes, honey.

ewewewew.

I hope you feel better soon.

Here’s hoping for a quick recovery, bdgr.

Much appreciated…with any luck I’ll get to go home Friday, and I have a laptop setup with a wireless network card so that I can post from any room in the house…Maybe It won’t be too bad, right?

You’ll be stir-crazy in less than a week, but it’s still worth it. Hang tough.

See if you can have a friend set up a target trap for you and bring in a good-quality air pistol. It helps wonders to spend a good chunk of the day plinking (or at least it worked for me).

ouch…ow…owww…groan…

Ok, it seems to have gone ok, but damn it hearts just to exist…thank God for Vicoden…
Im home now, but they wouldnt let me take the nice hospital bed with me…Looks like I will be living in my lazboy for a while(the waterbed is out of the question…Id never get out.

I ordered all the pay chanels on the sat dish, so now I got about 280 chanels of terrorist coverage…

Glad to read you made it allright. Really sucks to have so many channels and nothing on. Not even any football this weekend.

You mean it wasn’t from years of riding Harleys?

(drop ducks and runs)

Good luck, buddy. I had a CT scan done in May that indicated that I’m going to need the same thing.

Please post again and let us know how your recuperation goes.

You have my sympathies, I was told SOOOO many times, how sorry I’ll be that I loved moving furniture around. I just laughed. Ok, now I’m forty eight, and boy, am I SORRY!!!

Let us know how you do, okay??

Funny…actualy the rigid frame pan I used to ride didnt help matters any…

Hey…On the goodlife channel I got tony orlando and dawn…I had happily forgotten about them until now…Earlier on starz they were gonna run passenger 57, but for some strange reason they changed it to american pie.

Yeah, they used to tell me the same thing, and they were right…Amazing how when we were young we thought we were imortal huh?

OH, and I forgot to add…

Ow Ow Ow Ow Ow…

If things get boring and you need escape, a copy of Diablo II will help pass recovery time. Of course, then you may have trouble giving it up for mundane petty things like, oh, work.

Right now, I am limited to what I can run on my laptop, which unfortuneately isnt much. I am going through a serious withdrawel to Operation Flashpoint right now. May have to look into Diablo II. Whats the system requirements?

Mrs. Bdgr let me by the entire Monty Python series on DVD, and I have a 3 disk changer, so I have 9 episodes of python at my disposal at any time without getting up from my lazboy. I had forgotten how brilliant those guys were.

I was going to ask about that, but I was too busy ducking and running.

May I suggest Darvon and beer? It has worked for me in the past.

Diablo II system reqs:
PC
Win95, Win98, Win2000, WinNT4.0/SP3+; Pentium 233mhz or better; 4X cd-rom; 32mb/640mb for single player, 64mb/950mb for multi-player; 28.8kbps modem or NIC multi-play.

Mac
G3 processor; OS 8.1 or higher; 4x cd-rom; 64mb/650mb for single play, 64mb/950mb for multi-player; 256 color at 600x800; 28.8kbps modem or NIC for multi-play.

Mind you, those are the minimum reqs! More horsepower==more fun.

Ah, running aint even needed…A fast crawl will leave me in tha dust at this point…They got me on 2 vicodin es 750’s every 4 hours, that kinda knocks back the pain…makes it kinda hard to see the laptop screen though…

Don’t drink, but maybe I should start…
