I know I don’t post all that often, but it will be a while longer before I can post again, or even lurk around for that matter. I’m going to be going to the hospital tomorrow for hip surgery. It’s something called a periacetabular osteotomy. I have a hip dysplasia and what they are going to do is cut my pelvic bone and reposition it. I expect to be in the hospital for about a week, and out of commission for a lot longer. I’m hoping that when I get home I can continue lurking around the SDMB but I’m not really sure if I’ll be able to sit at my computer desk. Unfortunately I don’t think my husband will consider moving the thing so I can have better accessibility. Feel free to e-mail him about his lack of compassion. Don’t let him get away with it. Just because he is taking a month off to help care for me and the kiddies is no excuse ; )
I’m going to miss everyone here. Wish me luck.
Tina

The thought occurs that if you mainly lurk, you really need only the mouse most of the time, so it might not be that hard to get the machine next to the bed where you can see the monitor and move the mouse(?).
Best wishes for a quick recovery, Tina, maybe you could show your husband all of these responses, and he’ll feel sorry for depriving you of the SD company!
Have him post, when the operation is all over and how you’re doing, okay??

Good luck. And, hey… when you are back on your feet, post more often!
