Sorry. It’s not that exciting.
Yesterday I bought a 1oz. Canadian Maple Leaf (no, not from that company), and it’s really pretty. I’ll have to put it in the drawer with my two 1oz. silver Canadian Maple Leafs.

So you have silver and gold? But I thought you were mining for peppermint.
I think that when you get the Canadian gold, you have to give the silver back.
racinchikki: I… don’t quite follow…
Finagle: Hmmmm. Let me guess where you live!
Ever seen Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer? Yukon Cornelius was mining for peppermint, despite having the lovely “Silver & Gold” song break.
I’m just odd. Sorry.
I thought of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer immediately, but I don’t remember the peppermint thing. I thought he was looking for silver and gold.
Yeah, they cut the peppermint scene out of it at some point, but there’s a version floating around that still has it tacked on at the end. Y’know how he was always sticking his pick into the ice, then licking it? Well, eventually, in one version of the end, he throws the pick up in the air, it lands in the ice, he picks it up, licks the tip - “PEPPERMINT!” He’d been tasting for peppermint mines all along.
Mmmmmm… I wouldn’t mind having one of those 1oz coins, just so I could show the guys at work.
That is so funny… omg that’s great!
