Good -- easy -- dip for veggies, pls.

I was surprised how good this tasted, considering what’s in it:

1 cup grated sharp cheddar cheese
1 cup Miracle Whip
1 large onion, minced

Combine all ingredients in 1-quart casserole dish and bake at 325 F for 20 - 30 minutes.

I had people asking me for the recipe, and I was a bit embarrassed to give it out!

I have also added canned crab meat to this and used it as a dip for both veggies and crackers.

Can’t remember what this is called. Don’t even remember where I got the recipe, but every time I have served it my guests have loved it.

8 oz cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup mango chutney or Major Grey’s chutney, spicy or not as you prefer

Mix 'em vigorously together.

If you want it to be thinner, cut it with some sour cream or mayonnaise.

If you don’t have/don’t want to use a food processor, pick a chutney with small chunks, or chop the chunks a bit before adding it to the cream cheese.

For having only 2 ingredients, the dip/spread has a surprisingly multi-dimensional flavor. It’s goooood.

Take one Boursin soft cheese with pepper. Stir in a dollop of plain yogurt et voila.

If it’s allowed to require a leetle cooking:

Saute some green onions in some butter
Throw in some crabmeat (like a can or a pouch)
Stir in a package of cream cheese
Dash in a couple of dashes of Worcestershire Sauce

It’s crab rangoon filling, and it’s great with veggies.

Since no-one else commented on it, this, Annix-Xmas, is an absolute abomination.

I must try it.
