Good God I'm glad I'm back in Wisconsin!

Free beer samples in grocery and liquor stores.

burp

I love this state.

And now I can expect even more patients coming in to my office due to their 5th DUI or more.

In Wisconsin, aren’t the first through fifth DUI’s treated by pediatricians?

We’ve had free samples in grocery stores for ages here in Illinois. I thought it was SOP for the whole world.

Nope, or I’m going to the wrong groceries.

Hey, I’m boarded in Family Medicine! I used to do prenatal care, deliver 'em, and take care of 'em for years after. Including little Billy’s first intoxication, Sally’s first case of trichomonas, and teach Johnny that beer bottles don’t belong there.

Only recently has my practice been pretty much restricted to folks 16 or older. Most of whom have gotten past their first intoxication or STD already. Although they still put things where they don’t belong.

To put it in perspective 6oz is only 3/4cup. The stores can only give out 6oz per person per day, so you’ll have to have all your tetotaling friends ask for a sample too. I wonder if they’ll attach a strength limit to the brew, or if they’ll fumble the play.

It about time we set the beer free!

I was in a grocery store in Iowa a few years ago and they had free samples of whiskey! at 11 AM!
