I’m currently working in the office of a wholesale food distributor. We get free food!
So far, they’ve handed out packs of bacon-wrapped steaks, a large pouch of frozen (and GOOD) tomato-basil soup, packs of cinnamon-raisin bagels, 3-gallon cartons of ice cream, a bonus frozen turkey for Thanksgiving, plus at least five times in the last six months when they’ve literally fed us…we had a pork roast, a turkey dinner, an office breakfast, a pizza party, a potluck, and we’re having a Christmas luncheon in December.
At my old job, my boss would sometimes give me food or snacks. Also, I got to pet-sit the animals. And I had access to all the clinic(it was a veterinary clinic, I was a volunteer). So I saw all the operations…ok, it’s good for me, since I want to be a vet. I want to go back there during the winter vacation.
At my “current job”(giving plasma for money)…the only perk is that I get to rest in a nice couch or whatever they have, and see movies I missed while they were in the cinema(and sometimes still in the cinema… )
Also, I get a perk at Subways thanks to having a friend work there. My combo either costs less, or she gives me an extra cookie and a large drink. I like it when she is the cashier.
Best perk in my job is 100% company paid education. They pay for all schooling, books, and anything required in classes. The guy I replaced earned 7 Masters degrees without paying a dime. And when you get a degree, you are awarded 500 shares of stock.
