Good Karma?

Until recently we had a 1991 Honda Civic; my darling Marcie bought it new in Seattle and had it shipped to Florida when she moved here. It only had 102K miles on it but it had some problems that made it impossible to drive. I kept saying I would fix the thing but advancing age and some back problems kept me from working on it. It had been sitting for over a year because I couldn’t decide what to do with it.

A few weeks ago, our AC went out and my sister referred me to an AC guy. She has known the guy for 20+ years and has considered him a friend as well as an honest repairman. The guy and his wife are currently foster parenting EIGHT children; they have, over the years, fostered some unbelievable number of kids. The week he repaired my AC, he and his wife went to Washington, DC to receive some kind of national award for their work with kids. Anyway, while he was at my house, he asked if I wanted to sell the Honda. It seems that his son has had a falling out with his wife and the AC guy has taken her in until she and his son decide what to do. His daughter in law really needed a car, and he thought the Honda would be perfect in spite of the problems with it; he felt he could make the repairs it needed. In short, he was willing to buy his daughter in law a car at the same time that he was fostering eight kids.

My darling Marcie gave him the Honda and felt good about it. His daughter in law was grateful beyond words; she cried for an hour and thanked us endlessly.

Just one of the reasons I call her my darling Marcie; she has the best heart I’ve ever encountered.

Oh yeah. That’s for sure some good karma,** LouisB**.
Your darling Marcie has a heart of gold!
That was a wonderful thing for her to do.
Kudos to her!
