Hi, all. If memory serves, we’ve got a few people on this Board (including myself) who recently graduated law school, and will be taking their state’s bar exam this week.
I just wanted to say: Good luck, all! We’ve made it through three years of law school and law school exams. We’ll make it through this.

Good luck as you pass the bullshit fraternal hazing ritual which is the bar exam. I hope whatever you do with your law degree and bar membership is whatever you hope it to be. Most importantly, I hope someone ires you in the near future - the market is UGLY out the right now!
Remind me again, if the bar exam is so important, then what were you doing the past 3 years? Or vice versa?
I passed my bar courses a couple of months ago, but owing to the way things work up here (Hello Again, you recall our conversation about the articling year?), it will be a few more months before I can officially be admitted to the bar. Well, all in good time.
I completely blew the commercial paper question. Passed anyway. The Bar is something you have to prepare for, but it isn’t something you need to stress over. In law school, everybody was always gunning for the A. In the Bar, if you do better than a C+, you didn’t spend enough of the summer drinking, driving golf balls, and watching baseball on TV.
Best wishes to all my fellow Dopers taking the bar exam. I did in Ohio in the summer of 1992 and yikes, it was an ordeal, but I got through it and was very, very relieved to find out that November that I’d passed. I hope you’ll all have similarly good news when the day comes. I also hope you’ll enjoy your law practice as much as I have over the years (including stints in private practice, with Legal Aid, as a prosecutor and now as a magistrate and part-time trial advocacy professor).
Wow, I was totally brainfried earlier when I missed this thread.
I’ve never been so looking forward to six hours of multiple choice in my life. Good luck on the MBE, Hello Again and whoever else. Unlike the essays, I could actually tell how well I was doing on practice tests so I’m a little less terrified.
