On friday My boyfriend and I will be celbrating our 1-year anniversary. We both love the outdoors so we are going camping fridaynight and bringing along a picnic and wine. It should be alot of fun but there’s one problem… I have no idea what to get him!
I have no money, so something I could make or buy for cheap would be nice. And it has to be sentimental. I was thinking of buying him a cigar as one of the presents… Can I get a reasonably good one for around 30 dollars?
For valentines day I bought him chopsticks(he loves sushi) and I wrote him a list of 50 reasons why I love him. He absolutly loved it. I only have a week to put this together… help!!!
If you’re willing to spend up to $30, you can always browse REI’s gifts under $25 for ideas. I’m sure a lot of the stuff is available at your local outdoors retailer, too.
Speaking of chopsticks, have you seen Snow Peak’s carry-on model? The bottom half unscrews and gets stored in the hollow top half. Yeah, $25 is pretty outrageous for a pair of chopsticks, but the gadget-freak quotient here is off the charts.
Books are a great thing–cheap, customizabloe, and sentimental. For $30 you can get a nice coffee-table style book full of pictures of his favorite areas of the country, or of more exotic locales, and then put a note in the front cover about how you are eager to visit all those places with him: if he likes to cook, but him a fancy cookbook on his favorite cusine and put a note in the inside front cover about how you are looking forward to trying the recipes with him. You get the general idea.
One great hing about books is that if hte relationship falls apart, he’s still gota noce book, and if it dosen’t, well then, your grandchildren will be trilled when you pull it out and say “I gave this to your grandpa on our very first anniversary.”
well, I am making some progress. I ordered these last ngith. He will be absolutly thrilled.
Also, he's always wanted to go to sweden, so i figured I buy him a book and a map on sweden, complete with a sappy message on the inside cover. And since he works all day, I decided to make our picnic for friday night. but he has to get the wine.
Oh yay! I'm so excited! :D :D :D
Yeah… It’s getting closer to our one year also… I want to get her something that’s from the heart, something that really shows how I feel about her.
I have to start thinking about that, I wan’t to make sure it’s really special.
