Good resource for Ski trip information?

Looking to find a good place to take a ski trip this winter. It seems that all the major resorts have websites, etc but since these are run by the resort themselves, they aren’t great sources of reviews/unbiased reports.

TripAdvisor has some good stuff but I’d like something ski-specific if possible.

Anyone know of anything like that?

Thanks!

Have you looked at www.ski.com ? They want to sell you ski vacations but they have good info about the resorts that might be useful. Just browsing it looks like they have a good number of resorts on there but not an exhaustive list.

You might try the ski.com resort finder. I usedit to to plan my first ever Grown up Ski Trip ™. I ended up selecting Tremblant in Quebec. It was a very good choice and we had a great time.

I’ve also been to Banff twice and Panorama once. I’ve also been to a couple places in both North and South Lake Tahoe. Banff is definitely my favorite – for its combination of terrain, natural beauty, convenience, and easygoing attitude. f you have any questions about these areas, fire away. I’m not an expert but I did do all the planning for 3 people coming from 3 different states myself.

You might try Daman Nelson’s site: http://www.skirun.com/

They do ski packages to a number of resorts/destinations. Most of the packages are fairly reasonable (it’s been a while since I did one, tho).
