What’s a bad way to wake up is knowing you are going to the vet to have your good buddy put out of his pain. It was the right thing, after a very protracted illness, and my ferret Badger is running with his friends.

In lieu of hugs, please lift a cold one to Badger, who was the Terror of the Household when young, and the pampered Buddy when old, and who among us wouldn’t choose that?

Attention MMPers who are or were from Flarduh, I need some advice/help.

My facility caught a raw deal in the federal budget, and the days of aeronautical research are numbered there. I don’t truly believe that it will close, or I will be out of a job, because we are supposed to change course into space exploration projects.

However, in the short term the place is supposed to downsize, and ambitious as I am, I saw several posted positions available at the Kennedy Space Center, and I put my name in for consideration.

So, does anyone know anything about the towns near KSC, and can give me the lowdown?

bob, Mr. Anachi grew up on Merritt Island while his mom was working for NASA. A friend of his recently built a nice house in Cocoa (not the beach, the mainland town). And since Mr. Anachi is a surveyor, he can probably give me the lowdown on where to look. I’ll ask him tonight.

Those who want waffles, please form a line to the left (does not indicate liberal slant), and those who prefer cookies and beer please be patient as I multiply the ingredients in my cookie recipe by 32. I suppose I could throttle up the ark and go buy some cookies, but really that seems so tacky for such a monumental occasion as this.

Am I expected to create a special gateau or ganache or gaucho for Rue? I hate to make a faux pas on my first day here.
