It’s August, and just about time for our kitties to go to the vet for their annual check-up. I asked my landlord who he takes his cats to, and all I managed to get out of him was “someone in Virginia”.
So, can someone point me to a good vet in the area? I’m in DC proper, but don’t mind driving to VA or MD for good care.
We use Alexandria Animal Hospital for Rupert the Wonder Beagle. I don’t know about cats, but the family has been taking dogs there for 10+ years with nary a complaint.
We use Dr. Giles at Union Vet Clinic on 2nd St NE next to Union Station. She is excellent.
Friendship Hospital for Animals and Dupont Veterinary Clinic, both in NW, also have good reputations.
Thank you both. I’ll look into them all. Especially since I found the older cat today with an unexplained minor injury that looks like it came from the younger cat.
We’re very happy with Chesapeake Animal Clinic in Owings, MD, but that’s a fair hike from downtown DC.
Our vet’s office is Companion Animal Hospital at 7297 Commerce Street in Springfield. Just off 395 & Old Keene Mill, opposite Springfield Mall. They take everything! Cats, dogs, birds, ferrets…
