basically, the premiere picked up right where we left off last season, which is cool.
some random thougts-
are Kerry and Peter always going to be the bad guys?
does Alicia’s firm win every single case?? no suspense about case of the week then. Of course they do have super P.I. Kalinda on their team. Speaking of which, Alicia didn’t show enough animosity toward Kalinda.
what’s up with the stupid tutor character?
-Love that Eli Gold character.
Hey what’s with that woman who slept with Calinda last season,(Kelli Giddish) being on L&O SVU and this show?(She was the lead the crappy** Chase **last season)
I had the TV on during the premiere, though I admit I wasn’t paying a lot of attention. I’ve seen maybe one or two episodes before, and it seems like a more-or-less straightforward (and well-acted) lawyer show. Not bad, and the MMORPG bit in the case in this episode was interesting, but I could never figure out one thing:
What does being a “Good Wife” have to do with this show? I haven’t noticed anything particularly domestic about our heroine. Is there some kind of legal definition for this term that I am unaware of?
The show started, two years ago, with her being married to a politician caught in a sex scandal – Chris Noth, if you noticed him last night. There has been an ongoing arc about what would happen in that marriage: whether or not she would stand by him and be “a good wife.”
As it turns out, she finally had enough and kicked him to the curb.
