The US’s CO2 output is (slowly) going down…China’s is (rapidly) going up. I’m not sure that per capita is all that meaningful at this point. Besides, I am unsure if Bush knows what ‘per capita’ actually means at this point, unless someone points it out for him.

The 12-to-18-inch-thick stone has a mix of colors on the top and bottom, with a cream- colored center that most people want. “They cut the top and bottom of it off because nobody really wants it,” Heymann says. “So we bought all this throwaway stone. It’s fabulous. It’s got great color and it is relatively inexpensive.”

When InvisibleWombat stated the only reports were originating from tabloids, I took him to mean the latter, which is incorrect. Neither The Indepedent (centre-left) nor The Telegraph (right) are tabloids.

I get these papers confused. After reading your email, I checked the Web sites for both papers, and you’re quite right. I shouldn’t have called them tabloids.

Interestingly, though, I still haven’t seen video of this or heard about it on any of the many major U.S. newspapers that detest George Bush. Were the two British media guys the only representatives from the media present at the time?
