When I think of a guy in Goodfellas who specifically has curly dark hair, I think of Frankie Carbone. (God, I’ve probably seen that movie 300 times.) Portrayed by Frank Sivero. Is that who you’re thinking of?

His hair is so curly I’m inclined to think it’s permed. I know what they say about Sicilians and their genes, but that is a straight up Afro.
I have Italian-descended friends whose hair is naturally that curly.
I guess it’s possible in real life, but looking at pictures of Frank Sivero other than from Goodfellas, I’m guessing he either wore a wig or had his hair treated for that role.

It looks like he is wearing a hairpiece in this picture. Whatever his hair was really like in the early 1990s, I think he has lost it now.
