I remember watching Gumby when it was on afternoons in the 80s. I really liked the Blockheads.
Everybody sing!
“He was once a little green slab of clay…”
It’s Gumby dammit!
Me too, but I also watched it when it was on in the 60s. I was a huge fan.
“…You should see what Gumby can do today…”
I didn’t know he was clay… I suppose my five-year-old brain thought he was plastic or plasticine like the toy I had.
We were talking about this yesterday in the office. Quite a few of the younger people had never heard of Gumby.
There’s a statue in Toronto informally called “Gumby Goes to Heaven”.
“Gumby!”
When I go on road trips, I always put Gumby up on the dash–positioned so he’s looking out on the road ahead. When I pass vehicles with kids I hold him up and usually get a smile or a thumbs up.
MY…BRAIN…HURTS!!
Oops, sorry, wrong Gumby.
They’re both good.
Yeah, but you *don’t *want to run into the other Gumby’s pal Pokey.
WITH his pals, Pokey Prickle and Goo!
I liked Goo the best. She was blue! And a girl, like me! I think that would make a great Halloween costume, actually.
ohhh no, Gumbike: http://teammartys.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/Bill-and-Joaquin.jpg
