Google Maps finds

Pretty freaking awesome!

Sylva, North Carolina. Population 2,500. Known for it’s annual Hook, Line, and Drinker festival as well as being the Trout Capital of North Carolina. And not much else.

Except for a few weeks in the spring of 2016 when filmmaker Martin McDonagh used the town as the filming location for Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri.

The Google Street View car happened to be rolling through town on a day of filming, and caught the storefronts transformed into the Ebbing Police Department (complete with fire damage) and the Ebbing Advertising Co., sans broken windows.

This is one of my personal favorite finds so far.

Similarly - if you search my house - you can see that as they went around the block - we left - as my truck is in the driveway in one frame - and not the other.

The train wreck from The Fugitive is a couple of miles west.
