According to Google Maps (and Google Earth) Mount Rushmore is in Portland OR. Now they locate it correctly, but seem to label it incorrectly. Is there any logical explanation?
I don’t know, but ever since Google Maps went to the USGS data in October, I’ve found all kinds of errors like that. A lot of roads are now outdated, directions take you to the wrong place, there are missing highway ramps, things like that. I’ve reported everything I’ve found with their new “Report a Problem” tool, but who knows how long it will take to get sorted out.
They switched map providers recently.
