Google pop-up blocker score??

Wow, I thought I would be low but I’m at 3680 right now.

No porn, but as Kyla said, news sites have a damn popup on every page. Main page, popup. Click on an article, popup. Back to main page, popup. The toolbar has been a Godsend.

      • A who-in-the-what-now? I normally use Mozilla that includes a built-in popup blocker; it doesn’t count blocked popups that I have been able to detirmine, but then again–it hasn’t ever needed re-installing. It isn’t vulnerable to the usual MS active-X/javascript foolishness either.

I’m up to 997. I thought that was a lot,but I guess not.

I block 5000 popups a day.

I use Firefox at home, so it’s not an issue.

At work, I have to use IE (corporate policy for some stupid reason). I’ve got somewhere around 3500 IIRC.

I’m up to 2346 here at home, but at my last job, where I was severely limited in my websurfing so had to go to those popup-heavy news sites a lot, I had well over 3000 in less than six months. To my complete annoyance, I’ve had THREE popups sneak through here at home just today. Are they rewriting the code to get around the popup blockers or something?
