Google Street View - what is the significance of what we are looking at?

Let’s have some tough ones that might require hints.

First: An apartment building in Toronto

Is it the birthplace of William Shatner?

Not sure what is goin on at 100. But 101 has bedbugs

Obviously a tough one. Open hints:

Television show and televisions.
You have to be of a certain age to have seen this, but there is still a big cult following.

Looks like there’s a LARP event or science-fiction convention going on nearby.

re: 101: That would explain all the mattresses dumped in the alley.

Is it related to SCTV?

One of theopenings to SCTV. (There was also an older apartment in one version.)

Okay, here’s mine.A movie theater in Chicago.

John Dillinger’s being shot down?

Yes! http://i.imgur.com/4Rj4h.jpg

If you zoom out a bit, and look to the right of the building, you’ll see one on the sidewalk!

An old boarding house in Washington, DC

Is that John Cleese’s house in A Fish Called Wanda?

Edit: no, I think that had a bigger driveway. I need to go watch that again. It has been too long.

snfaulkner you are very close!

In the scene (television) there was a tree where the light pole is (not important). And the bollards were not there (important).

The first thing that came into my mind was the location of the creation of the “World’s Funniest Joke” in the Monty Python sketch. Like snfaulkner, I wasn’t far off. (I cheated and googled the answer).

One last clue:

A tall man.
A medium branch.
A small car.

Maybe Argent Towers will happen by to throw us a clue…

Where Basil Fawlty beat his car for not starting.

It looks like the area where an episode of Doctor Who was filmed, The Stolen Earth.

The Fall and Rise of Reginald Perrin house?
