Google your own name with quotes. On what page does an entry about you actually appear?

After 30 pages of google results, I have yet to find myself.

I have an extremely common name and no middle name. I share names with a baseball player, a comedian and a singer, among others.

My name appears as the very first entry.

'Course, it’s not me. It seems that there’s a kid on the west coast with the same name that has numerous friends on Facebook and is into all sorts of extracuricullar activities.

An actual entry about me is fourth on the list.

First page, several hits. I have been appointed to a few things, etc. Hardly VIP, but my first name is fairly rare.

My user name here does show up, but it’s also used by other dudes. As ME I show up on page one only if I add “SDMB”. However, I do have some other user names.

“first middle last” 7900 hits, none about me before it got boring.
“first last” well in excess of 1/2 million hits, same.

Last name is 2nd or 3rd commonest in US, first name has been in the top 20 for most of the years since I was born. I could be a total asshole and potential employers would likely never find out.

SDMB user name, lots of hits having to do with Human Services departments in cities named Cheshire, with the remainder being a mixture of posts I’ve made here and a few other boards, and other people using the same user name on other boards, who aren’t me.

“Middlename Lastname” (which is how I usually identify myself to people): Many results, since it’s also the name of a historical figure, but there’s an link to an entry about me on page 3.

“Firstname MiddleInitial Lastname”: Only 5 results, and results 4 & 5 are about me.

SDMB user name: Thousands of results, but a bunch of links on the first page point to posts that I’ve made here.

No matter what, it’s me. I have a unique first-last combination and and even middle-last (but there are very few hits for that). There is one person with same first name, slight variation on the last name, but for my particular spelling I’m the only one.

All three names in quotes? The first result is my Facebook page. The second is a posting I made to rec.toys.lego in 1995…

“First Name Last Name” (I have no middle name) brigns me up immediately. I have an unusual name & have had something of an unusual life. The entries go on for some time. I didn’t check how far …

However, there “is” someone out there with “my” name, who isa swimming champion. That would not be me.

AM, back again. There were 221 entries, over 23 pages. There may be more. Whew.
