Gore and Letterman: Then and Now

I was reading another message board and somebody posted a picture of Al Gore and David Letterman from 1993 and then 2013.

My observations:

  1. Letterman’s nose looks to have a different shape. Did he have plastic surgery?

  2. Obviously Al Gore has gained a lot of weight and gone downhill in terms of his appearance. I’m not a doctor but I think he should try to lose a few for health reasons.

  3. Is it my imagination or are the chairs on Letterman’s set bigger now than they were 20 years ago? Is this more evidence of Americans getting fatter?

I was surprised by Gore’s aggressiveness and general obnoxiousness on The Daily Show the other day. Lighten up, dude.

The photo was probably removed for copyright reasons. Based on a general image search, Letterman’s nose looks exactly the same to me, Gore is aging poorly, and the chairs might be a bit bigger – they look like typical contemporary furniture, while the 1993 show’s look pretty damn stingy.
