Isn’t it wonderful to not have all that crap that went along with drinking? No hiding bottles/drinks. No worrying about how to get your next drink. No worrying about getting pulled and going to jail. No waking up wondering exactly how badly you screwed up the previous night because you don’t remember the previous night?

doing very well , thank you. When Beta-chan was two, she’ld alway point out the beer cooler at 7-11. “Daddy’s!” Now at six, she doesn’t have a memory of daddy drinking.

I dearly love a beer but nothing stronger.
First time I got pulled over I hadn’t been drinking (I never drive if I have) so there wasn’t a problem. However, I had the cat in a cage as I was taking him to the vet and I often wondered if I had been thrown in the clink what would have happened to the cat.
OK, I promise I wasn’t drinking when I posted that. Damn iPhone.
What I wanted to say is that my wife called out to me the other day and it was so nice to be able to just answer “yes” without worrying about what she had found out.
