Gotham (new show on Fox)

The perfect Catwoman is the body of Julie with the Voice and acting of Kitt.

I liked the strange little interaction between the two at the station. I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s Penguin who does something to him that puts him over the edge.

I loved that bit. The instant dislike, even before any words were spoken.

I just now realized the perfect Joker is the body and voice and acting of Gorshin.

Did you mean Joker or Riddler? A Gorshinesque Joker *could *be interesting…

I meant Joker.

I’ll keep it spoiler free since it just aired.

The development with Fish is going to have quite the ramifications, but I can’t see it working out for her in the end. How many episodes to the end of the season?

I liked the symbolism of the hood. A lot.

The rest of the plotlines weren’t so surprising. Kinda disappointing.

That said, I love me some Butch.

They missed a bet in this episode. They should have shown the cops at Wayne manor and Bullock says: “Well, we know who didn’t do it.”

+1

My husband (Andy L) says that Bruce should ask, “Alfred, why is the mansion lit only with lightning? Ever?”

That bit with Bullock drinking the soda and saying that “forensics” would only do it if he didn’t, made me think of the Flash–Barry’s got to keep his calorie count up somehow.

Okay. We know Fish is evil. We know she’s a bad ass. Now we know she’s a craaaazy bitch! Okay, okay!

Bring on the butler jokes!

I will say that I yelled OH F***! twice, when Fish did what she did & when Alfred’s old mate did what he did. Those who have seen the ep will know what two dids I mean.

No shit! I actually said, to no one but the cat, “oh no she di’int!” . *Most *disturbing.

I missed exactly what happened with Alfred. I understand the after math and the motivation, etc., but didn’t see the actual scene. Could you kindly spoiler box it for me?

Am I reading too much into the scene between Barbara and Selena?

I think Barbara is contemplating villainhood. She’d make a better villain. OTOH, maybe that was her wake up moment and she’ll start getting her act together. That would be no fun.

It looked to me like she was hitting on Selena, and I’m wondering if that’s what they intended me to think.

Alfred got up in the middle of the night, confronted his friend seemingly stealing items, his friend says that he’s in big trouble, that he’s sorry, and with a weird sliding sound, stabs Alfred near his heart. Bruce discovers him, calls an ambulance, then calls Gordon. Alfred is seriously wounded so they don’t know if he’ll live.

Thanks; I can’t believe I missed that scene. Is Payne a character in the comic universe? Also, at the end, he tells the board that it’s time to “work on the boy” or something to that effect, but then later sort of recants and says “he’s just a boy; a *good *boy”. What are we supposed to get from that?

That was confusing. Is he really a down and out drunk, or not?

Yeah, THAT was creepy. So Selena’s comment was perfect.

I have to wonder if she just didn’t realize how young Selena is, given Barbara’s confused state of mind and the alcohol. But I don’t think she would honestly make a mistake like that. Camren Bicondova is 15, but isn’t her character supposed to be 13 or so? And I don’t think she looks older than she is. At my age, I’ll admit that sometimes I can’t distinguish between, say, a 17YO and a 21YO, but it’s rare that I mistake a 13YO for 18+ (It has happened, but in each case it was a 13YO who was far more “developed” than average and also very good with makeup. Not that I was hitting on any of them.). And Barbara is quite a bit younger than I am, making her less likely to make such an “honest mistake”.
